You Upgraded Everything Except Your Body
Why your apps run faster, but your energy crashes harder: the gut-level bugs behind modern fatigue.
It's 3 PM and suddenly you feel the crash. You just want to put your head down on your desk and sleep. Brain fog rolls in all around you, it's getting hard to think straight, and suddenly you've downed your 3rd coffee but you just don't feel good. Your body feels sluggish and odd not modern or fresh anymore, just an old OS that's trying to speed up but can't.
When your body crashes at 3 PM, you don't fix your biology you reach for your phone. Can't focus? Download a productivity app. Can't remember? Set more reminders. So to compensate for your body's failures, you optimize everything else around you. Phone apps are adopted so there's no need to scroll or search for the right function. No need to squint and look deep, no need to type all messages are pre-ready to send through integrated text generation. It all feels seamless. But also strangely soulless.
Investment flags are always ready to shift, no need to go do stock picking or pull funds out then ponder how to re-invest. Manual calculations have been wiped out. No one can decide things on limited inputs and their own judgment call anymore.
But these are all crutches to optimize the surroundings when the real thing that's slowing down is your body. Things don't move as fast and the core biological system just stays slow. You've tried so hard to bring more technology to life—more powders and energizing supplements like creatine to whip the body back to life but the core body operating system just gets worse the more you try to force your body to absorb more and improve performance.
But what if this isn't just inevitable decline? What if something is actively hijacking your system from within?
There is something coming from within. Thats the issue. There is something controlling your body at an underlying level: the gut microbiome. This is the 70 trillion microscopic programs running your body's core functions from immune response to neurotransmitter production to nutrient processing. Without your knowledge, modern life has slowly installed malicious code, corrupted essential files, and overloaded your system's processing capacity through a slow poisoning you don't even realize has hit. Deep ruptures have happened, your body has crashed, and there are 3 specific bugs that have triggered this downfall.
These 3 bugs broke it all, and they've ruptured everything.
Bug #1: The Protein Processing Plant
First, protein came into everyone's life, going from a basic building block of normal health just eating meat to becoming the standout anchor nutrition target among all snacks and consumers. "I will eat this just because it has more protein in it, meaning I will get bigger and look better faster, without having to workout and exercise as hard." Your body has become a protein processing plant, force-fed beyond capacity, especially as powders have spiked.
The problem isn't protein deficiency it's protein excess. Americans now eat 2x what they need, and powder sales have doubled since 2010. This isn’t a protein crisis. It’s a protein flood.
This leads to Process Breakdown: Excess protein creates undigested fragments called peptides that leak into the bloodstream, hitting the gut like corrupted data packets. This triggers an Inflammatory Response where the immune system treats these protein fragments as foreign code, launching constant security alerts which is actually chronic inflammation. The result is Energy Drain: system resources get diverted to damage control instead of core functions, making you wonder why you crash after "healthy" meals that are rich in all macros and running as a so-called "balanced" meal.
This is the untold story of the protein crisis no one has realized yet that a reckoning will come for those guts overstuffed with protein-spiked foods, with most thinking they'll become buff and look really good through an easy shortcut of muscle gain without real effort.
Bug #2: The Antibiotic Factory Reset
Then there were antibiotics. A safe haven was needed to stop sickness, and it just felt easier to destroy the illness and get the body running again, despite the crash. The all conquering crusher became the antibiotic go-to plan, but it led to wiping the biological hard drive over and over again.
How did this really happen? Prescriptions carpet bombed your gut wiping out more and more microbiomes each time. And getting the right microbiome back in the body rarely happened and was forgotten.
By age 20, the average American has received at least 10 courses of antibiotics — some estimates place it between 10 to 17. Most of this comes from childhood overprescribing, especially for respiratory infections. We’re not underexposed to antibiotics we’re saturated.
That's multiple factory resets with no clean reinstallation. Each time, more microbiome gets wiped out and it gets harder to regain what's lost, some species just disappear and never come back.
With your gut already compromised by protein overload, that antibiotic your doctor prescribes becomes a sledgehammer hitting an already cracked foundation. This created a vicious cycle: the gut got weaker and worse at processing food, meaning more inflammation came with more symptoms, meaning more antibiotics were needed to combat sickness. With 90% of your immune system housed in your gut, each antibiotic course is like firing your security team.
Bug #3: The UPF Hijacking
Then there's UPF (ultra-processed food) industrial Frankenfoods built in labs, not kitchens made to override your hunger and hijack your brain to eat more. Think edible bloatware: fake flavors, fake fullness, fake control.
which will do anything to take over your body for more frictionless consumption. Your body gets used to it. It's so hard to shed the habits of having UPF's so easy and so normal, almost a habit where the thought becomes "let's take it wherever I go."
Hunger signals got hijacked. HFCS and additives changed how hunger feels the biggest twist as the gut never got time to relax and reconfigure itself. Ultra-processed foods quietly flip the gut’s balance feeding harmful microbes while starving the good. It’s not a blowout. It’s a slow, systemic shift the kind that doesn’t show up in a day, but over time erodes your immunity, mood, metabolism, and resilience.
Meanwhile, UPF's caused blood sugar spikes and crashes, like an infected computer that cycles through freeze-and-crash reboot cycles running over and over again. Each cycle further corrupted your biological operating system.
Judgment slips. Focus fades. And most days, it feels like you’re just trying to catch up with yourself. The strange part is you didn’t do anything wrong. You followed what you were told. More protein. Quick fixes. Snacks that looked healthy enough. But somewhere along the way, the system turned on you. Now the energy’s off. The rhythm’s broken. And no one really explains why. But your body hasn’t quit. It’s just overwhelmed. It’s asking for a reset. That’s what comes next. Part II: The Great Reboot Protocol. Let’s start again from the inside out.
Waiting for the great reboot protocol 😊👌
